Ep #20: Hamish Clarke

Hamish Clarke is a Carpenter by trade and Builder who is excelling as a business owner. His investment into further education beyond what you learn on the tools, as well as investing in himself personally, has lead to a very promising young business where Hamish has the opportunity to work on it rather than in it.

The path that Hamish has taken to get to this point hasn't been easy. Being relentlessly bullied from a young age as well as working in toxic environments as an apprentice did not help Hamish who was already lacking in self confidence. His struggles with depression as well as finding his purpose in life took him down very dark path where Hamish decided to end his life. We talk openly with Hamish about his experiences, what it was like navigating through his emotional struggles, and how he is now thriving beyond his experiences through a journey of self discovery with a young and growing family.

If conversations around suicide cause you any distress, this may not be the podcast for you. If you are feeling unsettled, please reach out to a trusted loved one, friend, or you can always call TIACS on 0488 846 988.
